| How does It work? |
| Coach and client typically talk via the phone for 30-60 minutes on a regular (weekly, bi-weekly) basis. Most coaches also accommodate a reasonable number of "laser" calls or emails if required. |
| How do I know if I will benefit from coaching? |
| Most coaches are happy to chat with a potential client on a complimentary basis to explore the fit and learn what the client would most like to achieve through coaching. |
| What is the client satisfaction rate? |
| In surveys conducted by the International Coaching Federation, 98.5% of clients are satisfied with their coach. 83% of clients stay with their coach over 3 months, with an average working period of 6 months. |
| What should I look for in a coach? |
| First make sure your coach is ICF credentialed (PCC, MCC) or is certified by an ICF accredited coach training school. This means they are very well-trained - the top 15% of the profession. For executive coaching you will also benefit from working with a coach that has extensive experience working in organizations at senior levels. There is additional benefit if your coach has the knowledge and experience to provide mentoring in areas such as leadership, emotional intelligence, communications, etc. Finally, make sure you have a good rapport with your coach. |
| What are the costs? |
| Coaching fees are usually billed to the executive's organization on a monthly basis. Cost varies with the experience and competency of the coach. For senior executive coaches expect to pay $750 - $2000 per month depending on the type and frequency of support needed. Specific coaching programs can be designed to deliver support for specific organizational objectives. Typically these programs include assessments, specific curriculum, high levels of performance based accountability and usually run for 6 -12 months. These programs typically start at $12,000. |
